Information We Collect
Account information
You can plot routes, animate them and export videos without an account. If you choose to sign in, we ask for your email address and pass it to our account system at dashboard.lascade.com, which emails you a single-use sign-in link. Once you are signed in, an access token, a session cookie and a randomly generated device identifier are stored on that device so you stay signed in. If you never sign in, we do not ask for or store your email address or phone number.
Usage and subscription information
- App and website usage statistics, including errors and crashes
- Properties of the videos you create, such as duration, resolution and the options you selected
- Your subscription status and plan
The content you create
Your projects, routes, photos and finished videos are yours. They stay on your device unless you deliberately save a route to your account, which stores its waypoints on our servers so your other devices can open it. Saved routes stay until you delete them, and you can delete them at any time.
How We Use It
- Running the product: signing you in, keeping you signed in, syncing the routes you have saved, and delivering the features you use.
- Improving it: finding what breaks, what is slow, and which features are worth building on.
- Managing subscriptions: confirming what your plan includes, and handling renewals and cancellations.
- Meeting legal obligations: complying with applicable laws and lawful requests.
Who Else Sees It
We never sell your information. We share it only with the providers that process it on our behalf, and in the two limited cases at the end of this list:
- PostHog receives product analytics where you have consented, and holds them on infrastructure in the United States as our processor.
- Our account system at dashboard.lascade.com, operated by Lascade, processes your email address to issue sign-in links and session tokens.
- Apple and Google process purchases made through their app stores. They tell us your subscription status; we never receive your card details.
- When required by law.
- If the organization undergoes a merger, acquisition or asset sale.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
This website uses cookies to remember your preferences and repeat visits; those do not identify you personally. Analytics cookies are set only where you have consented. If you sign in, a session cookie keeps you signed in and is linked to your account until it expires or you sign out.
Security
We protect your information with access controls, encrypted transport, and credentials stored so that only your own user account on your own device can read them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, which is why we hold as little as the product actually needs.
Your Choices and Rights
- Analytics: you can withdraw your consent at any time, after which no further usage events are sent.
- Access and deletion: you can ask what we hold about you, request a copy of it, or ask us to delete your account together with the data attached to it.
- Saved routes: you can list and delete them whenever you like, from the app or the command line tools.
- Subscriptions: you can manage, renew or cancel at any time through the App Store or Google Play.
- Signing out: signing out removes the stored credentials from that device.

Travel Animator MCP Server and Command Line Tools
The travel-animator package runs on your own computer. Everything above applies to it, with these specifics.
Login. These tools use the same account and the same sign-in link as the mobile app. The token, session cookie and device identifier are written to a file readable only by your user account, and travel-animator logout removes them.
Your data stays on your computer. Projects, routes and rendered videos are written to your own machine and are never uploaded unless you explicitly save a route to your account. Map tiles, glyphs and sprites fetched while rendering are cached locally.
Analytics are opt-in and off by default. Nothing is collected until you run travel-animator analytics on, and consent can be revoked at any time with travel-animator analytics off. With consent we collect which tools were called, in what order, how long they took and whether they failed; render settings such as resolution, duration, map and vehicle; the number of points in a route; and the set of countries a route crosses.
What we never collect, regardless of consent: route coordinates, place labels, route annotations, file paths, your media, the contents of any route you save or load, the names you give projects, or what a tool returned. One exception: if an assistant requests a capability this server does not have, the sentence describing what it was trying to do is collected with that request, up to 2,048 characters.
Retention. Analytics events are kept indefinitely — we do not delete them on a schedule. If you withdraw consent, no new events are collected, and you can ask us to delete the events already recorded for your account.
Changes to This Policy
This policy will change as the product does. We will tell you about significant changes through in-app notifications or other appropriate channels, and the date below always reflects the current version.
