Turn a Google Maps route into an animated video
Start with a Google Maps directions link, import it into Travel Animator, then style and export the journey. This uses the link as route input; it does not require recording your Google Maps screen or converting the link to GPX first.
Copy your route link
Open the itinerary in Google Maps and copy its share link. Reopen the copied link to check that it contains the stops and travel direction you meant to share.
Import and check the journey
In Travel Animator, open the Route menu and choose Paste a Google Maps link. Paste the link, tap Plot Route, and compare the imported path and stop order with your itinerary.
Choose the look and export
Select a vehicle, edit labels and add optional photos. Preview the video in your chosen aspect ratio, then export. Free includes HD with a watermark; Pro adds 4K and watermark removal.
If the imported route looks wrong, check the source link before adding more detail. A driving itinerary does not become a recorded flight or sailing track when you change the vehicle. Follow the Google Maps import guide for the illustrated walkthrough.
