Match the intro to your episode
Add the destinations covered by this video, rather than every stop from a longer trip. Choose a model that represents the journey. Verify the route if you import a Google Maps link or GPX file.
Design a readable opening
Preview the map in the same aspect ratio as your editing project. Keep the route line visible, use short city labels and adjust the duration so viewers can read them before the first scene begins.
Export and edit it into the vlog
Save the finished video and import it into your video editor. Place it at the opening or a chapter transition, then add your voiceover or soundtrack in the editor. Review the full sequence before uploading to YouTube.

This workflow exports a video clip for you to save or share. Add it to your vlog and upload the finished video through your normal YouTube publishing workflow; exporting does not automatically publish it.
Can I make a map intro for YouTube Shorts?
Yes. Choose a vertical 9:16 preview and review the label placement before exporting. Leave space for the interface and captions that may cover parts of the video in the destination platform.
Where do I add music and narration?
You can add your voiceover and soundtrack when combining the exported map clip with the rest of your footage in a video editor. Preview the combined result so the route and spoken introduction stay in sync.
