Use Python 3.12 or newer and a client that can launch local MCP processes. Have your Travel Animator account email ready. Creating and editing projects does not spend credits. To export a video, you must purchase credits.
python --version2. Install the MCP server
Run this in your terminal. The mcp extra installs the dependencies needed for AI tool access; the base package alone is for the CLI.
pip install "travel-animator[mcp]"3. Sign in
Run the login command in your own terminal and complete the email sign-in flow. Use the same account as the mobile app.
travel-animator login4. Register with your client
For clients using mcpServers JSON, merge this entry into the existing configuration. Preserve any other servers already configured. Restart the client after saving.

}5. Verify the connection
The assistant should return capability and authentication information from tools. A conversational answer without a tool call does not verify the connection.
Use Travel Animator to call get_capabilities and auth_status. Tell me whether I am signed in and whether this computer can render. Do not create or render a project yet.6. Create a first project
Once the tools respond, follow the first-video tutorial. If no tools appear, check the command path and client logs.
