Explore this blog to learn which platforms Travel Animator supports and which it does not support.
Travel Animator Supported Platforms
Travel Animator supports more mobile devices, ensuring easy use. Currently, the app supports the following platforms.
- Android
- Ios
- Ipad
- Tablets
Travel Animator Unsupported Platforms
While Travel Animator provides great functions for mobile devices, it is not available on some other platforms, including:
- MacOS
- Desktops & Laptops
Why does Travel Animator focus on mobile & tablets?
Travel Animator was developed to create travel videos for every audience. It is user-friendly, and no technical skills are required to create videos.
The app is built to run smoothly on mobile devices without high-end hardware and it can quickly create and edit videos while traveling. So, mobile devices are more user-friendly and travel-friendly for creating travel experiences such as videos.
What can you do if your device doesn't support Travel Animator?
Currently, Travel Animator supports only mobile and tablet devices. You can create travel videos easily and quickly on mobile.
We are developing the web version of Travel Animator. Once it is available, you can create your travel videos on the web, which will also support desktop devices.

Moving Between Your Phone and Tablet
Plenty of people build a route on their phone during a trip and finish it later on a bigger screen. That works across platforms, because saved routes are linked to your TravelAnimator account rather than to the device. Save a route on your iPhone, sign in with the same email on an Android tablet, and it appears in your saved routes ready to edit or export.
Two things trip people up. Signing in with a different email opens a different account, so its routes won’t be there. And an exported video is a finished file, not an editable project, so make sure you saved the route itself before switching. Our guide to opening saved routes on another device walks through the full steps.
Using a Computer Today: The MCP Option
The TravelAnimator app doesn’t run on macOS, Windows or laptops. If you mostly work at a computer, though, there’s a separate route that doesn’t involve the app at all. The Travel Animator MCP server is a Python package that lets an AI assistant such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Cursor plan a route, style it and render an MP4 on your own machine from a plain-language prompt.
It’s worth knowing what it involves before you set it up:
- You need Python 3.12 or newer and some comfort with a terminal.
- You sign in with the same account you use in the mobile app.
- Rendering a video needs premium access and uses one credit per render.
- You describe the video in text instead of seeing the route as you build it.
If you like dragging stops around and previewing as you go, the mobile app is still the better fit.
Quick Checks Before and After You Install
Look at the App Store or Google Play listing on the device you plan to use. It confirms whether that specific phone or tablet is compatible. After installing, keep the app updated. New features and layouts arrive through updates, so a missing model or menu is often just an older version.
If you use two devices, keep them on the same version too. Different versions can behave differently, which is confusing when you move a project between them. You can see your installed version in Settings under About Us, and the version number guide shows how to compare it with the latest release.

How to Use Travel Animator on Your Mobile?
Download the app on your mobile device to create travel videos. Open the app and start creating your video by selecting the starting and ending destination. Export the video to your devices or share it directly on social media. For a detailed guide on how to use Travel Animator, Check out our blog here.
Can I start a Travel Animator project on iPhone and finish it on an Android tablet?
Yes. Saved routes are tied to your account, not the device. Save the route on your iPhone, then install the app on the Android tablet and sign in with the same email. The route shows up in your saved routes and you can keep editing or export it. Use the same login on both, or the route won’t appear.
Why does a feature show up on one of my devices but not the other?
Usually the two devices are on different app versions. Features and layouts change with updates, so an older install may not have a new model or menu yet. Check the version in Settings under About Us on each device, update both from the App Store or Google Play, then reopen the app.
